Provide better experience for the Mobile application Users by understanding the basic principles for creating your location points.

Define the right Location point Area

If the defined area around the location point is too small it could happen that Mobile User will get the information (and all multimedia content) too late or when he is on the spot allready.
Also, If the defined area around the location point is too big it could happen that Mobile User is too far from location or object and couldn't recognize it.

Be aware of the Mobile User speed

For example if you are making location points in the city pedestrian area then you could asume that Mobile User will go on foot so Location points areas could be adjust to that.
Completely different sitution is if you making location point on the highway :) . You should define the big area or even more then one point to be sure that Mobile user will get the informations on time, before he pass the location with 90mph speed.

GPS mistakes

GPS is a very reliable system but you should now that GPS data on the open space is not of the same accuracy as in the tiny city street with skyscreapers all around.
The GPS mistake usually vary from 2-15m but in extreme bad locations could be more. It depends of several factors like number of sattelite visible, weather conditions, landscape etc. More about GPS you can read here.
So, just don't expect to gps locate mobile phone in the 1m range and everything will be fine. Give a little space to your location points area and deviation of a GPS signal should not be a problem.
